No, that is not a compliment. Vancouver remains on our "Bucket List" once we get more vacation time, but we did not believe the demons that came out last night after the Canucks lost the Stanley Cup. Lootin' and Burnin' just doesn't seem congruent with the western Canada paradise. We may have expected the shameful behavior from Montreal, but not Vancouver. We thought their northern climate was to cold to cultivate such sour grapes. The riots are being blamed on "criminals and anarchists," but we don't buy this. Vancouver also showed poor sportsmanship, and degenerate street behavior, in 1994 after losing to the NY Rangers. Maybe if Roberto Luongo would have kept his mind on protecting his crease instead of running his mouth, the Canucks may not have gotten completely embarrassed during the last two games.

BOSTON BRUINS DOMINATE VANCOUVER TO WIN GAME 7 AND 2011 STANLEY CUP.

Well, what can we say. We have a bloodline in Massachusetts, and if the Caps can't win it-this is good stuff. We are still awaiting series MVP, but how can it not be Tim Thomas-that cheap hit on Horton, and Luongo's loose lipped jive did not help. Congratulations Bruins...keep the Chowda' warm for us around Christmas!! And we will honk our own horn-Tim Thomas wins the MVP trophy!

WELCOME TO A MORE GLOBAL, USER-FRIENDLY, BLOG.

We have noticed during the last couple of years that actually we have more fans outside the Maryland area, and overseas, than with our original, rowdy, brother blog, "Alive In The Chesapeake." We have done significant soul-searching, and feel we need not only to expand the national/international scope of our blogging cause-but to also offer a tamer, PG version in order that a larger demographic can enjoy our artistic/written content/sponsored charities without having to go through an adult content gate-keeper, and be exposed to the occasional dirty words and sometimes bawdy photos.

We hope to evolve this new blog into more of an entire America/International blog, where a larger demographic will feel more comfortable with our educational/history/artistic/music content. Please be patient as we settle in to make the format/template more reader friendly, where we can also allow more links, and hopefully, appropriately, include a larger 'PG' audience.
